Hosts and organisers of Blues on the Meadow
A massive thank you from your hosts & organisers to

Blues on the Meadow is an outdoor music event where you can listen to the best of local and national blues groups, while chilling with a glass or two.

It’s held in a meadow ... hence the name!.. at Aldermaston in West Berkshire (between Reading and Newbury).

A summer’s  afternoon and an evening of blues musis. Excellently accompanied by bar and food .

Blues on the Meadow was born one June afternoon in 2006. It was such a success that it was repeated on August Bank Holiday the same year.... and it’s not stopped since!!

Blues Music
A style of music that evolved from southern African-American secular songs and is usually distinguished by a strong 4/4 rhythm, flatted thirds and sevenths, a 12-bar structure, and lyrics in a three-line stanza in which the second line repeats the first.

“The blues is an expression of anger against shame and humiliation” (B.B. King)
